Bridal Bliss: Chloe and Jose’s Glamorous Chicago Wedding Was An Absolute Stunner – Essence
Chloe and Jose’s romance was an act of fate if there ever was one.
Their knowledge of each other started through social media. Jose was scrolling through his Instagram feed and came across a photo posted by one of his friends. That was the first time Jose laid eyes on Chloe. At the time, she wasn’t ready to date and respectfully declined the offer to be connected. Fast forward to a few months later, Chloe is having a drink at a typical New York City happy hour, and in walks a man she can’t take her eyes off of. “My friend couldn’t help but laugh as he responded, ‘that’s the guy I told you about and you snubbed a few months ago.’” Chloe told ESSENCE.
Their chemistry was magnetic from the start, and their first date confirmed the potential for a lasting relationship. They soon began dating. And because these two are all about doing it big, it only made sense that the proposal was as epic as their love story. Over the Thanksgiving holiday in 2017, Chloe and Jose traveled her hometown of Chicago for a family scavenger hunt. The prize was 2000,000 frequent flyer miles. Little did Chloe know, there was no contest. The entire day was an elaborate plan for Jose to pop the question. During the last leg of the mission at Chicago’s Cloud Gate, Williams arrived ready to claim her prize. What she saw instead were her friends and family…and Jose on one knee. To no surprise, the proposal went viral…and it will surely bring a tear to your eye.
The couple’s wedding was just as buzzworthy. The ceremony had an intimate yet modern glam feel. Thanks to their wedding planner, Kia Marie, they were able to utilize one spay and incorporate stylish elements into their dream wedding. The day went off without a hitch, and love was everywhere you turned.

Chloe carefully shopped around in both New York and Chicago for her perfect wedding dress. After coming across some options that were good but not great, she found the dress of her dreams on her very last appointment. “I saw this beautiful gown hanging on the rack and immediately tried it on and it knew it was the one. She just happened to be apart of Vera Wang’s Iconic Collection. What girl doesn’t want to get married in Vera Wang?!”

During cocktail hour, Chloe’s amazing planners flip the ceremony room into an equally gorgeous reception space. “Thatś the best part of having a wedding planner that also has a great eye for design, Chloe said. “We were able to find modern candelabras with long gold steams that would give a grand effect. The ceremony altar and stage was draped in gorgeous ivory fabric.”

The couple wanted their cake to have a clean look. Their wedding planner, Kia Marie Events, make sure a glamorous aesthetic was incorporated with cascading roses and gold monogram initials.
