DENVER, CO — Folks in Denver have a lot of crushes on people, according to a recent Match report. Singles in our city are juggling nearly four crushes each, which may not be surprising considering our new online dating era.
The report analyzed the dating habits of more than 5,000 singles across the United States. The study, which is in its ninth year, also took into account the #MeToo movement, and how that’s impacted dating.
About 63 percent of millennials want to find romantic love, and only 11 percent of Gen Z and millennials date casually, according to the Match report.

“Modern love, sex and romance are thriving in America—from Millennials to seniors. The current fear that the young don’t care about love and commitment is just plain wrong. They are simply having a hard time finding it and feeling burnt out by the search,” Dr. Helen Fisher, biological anthropologist and Match chief science advisor said in a media release. “Moreover, this year’s Singles in America study gives a first-of-its-kind look at the positive impact the #MeToo movement has had on single men — on dates and in the office.”
